Wincommand: a utility
for
running command line programs
The LevTech utilities are currently command-line invoked programs though they
are all 32-bit Windows software. Out of the "box", they don't
come with an icon and are not in and of themselves interactive; that is, they
start then run to completion without any user intervention.
Nonetheless, users may want to run these utilities from an Windows shortcut rather than a command line prompt. Possibly with different options at different times. This program is meant for heavy-duty or integrated workflow situations. For more casual/infrequent situations, refer to the UtilityControlPanel program.
WinCommand is a utility that lets you define command situations for any Windows program that can be invoked via a command line, or any file which has an application defined for it. It will prompt for dynamic parameters while allowing default parameters to be pre-defined.
To download WinCommand, including a manual: click here.
The downloaded file is named wczip.exe and is a self-extracting zip file. You must run wczip (use Start/Run) to unzip the setup components for WinCommand.
The setup components will be unzipped (by default) into c:\temp\levtech and among them is setup.exe.
After unzipping, run the setup program which begins a standard Windows installation process.
The files will be installed into c:\program files\leverage technologies\wincommand and among them is a PDF file which is the WinCommand manual.
